Adewuni Salawu is a Professor of French Studies.  He had a PhD in Comparative Cultural Studies from University of Ibadan in 2005. He joined the University as a Lecturer 1 in 2008, having previously worked as a Research Translator at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, Nigeria from 1990 to April 2008. He was elevated to the position of a professor in 2017. He had served the University on various committees at University, Faculty and Department levels. His research interest is in finding the relevance of culture, literature, and language in translation activities. He also studies translation issues embedded in agricultural texts within the African context and has published in international journals such as Journal of Translation, Babel, Translation Journal and International Journal of Translation.
