Welcome to the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Arts, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. The Department has a tradition of rich teaching and research in metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, logic, African philosophy and other areas of Philosophy such as Feminism, Philosophy of Literature, Social and Political philosophy among others. It provides a conducive atmosphere for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes up to Ph. D. level.

Our curriculum is designed to equip students to be critical and creative so that they can contribute and be useful in the academic and corporate world. The Department houses respectable and experienced academics and growing ones who are being mentored. Journal of Philosophy Related Disciplines (JOPRED) is an annual publication of the Department.
