Prof. Ibiyinka Olusola  Adesanya nee Adewumi graduated from the Department of Religious Studies, Ondo State University, Ado- Ekiti with Bachelor of Arts (B. A) degree(Second Class Upper Division in  Religious Studies in 1995). She also obtatined her Master of Arts degree in Comparative Religion in 2004 and PhD Degree in Sociology of Religion in 2009 from  University of Ado- Ekiti respectively. She started her career in University of Ado- Ekiti in 2001 as a graduate assistant and became a Professor in 2019. She teaches courses in Religious Studies at both undergraduates and postgraduates levels. Her research interest is in Feminist Studies and so she has published in that area in both national  and international reputable journals.

Prof.  (Mrs) I.O Adesanya has been tutor of Ph.D. thesis within the Ph.D. program in Sociology of Religion, M.A Candidates and undergraduate projects of Religious Studies students of the Ekiti State University, Ado- Ekiti.
