You are welcome to the Department of English and Literary Studies, Ekiti State University. The Department is home to all categories of students, irrespective of tribe, sex or language. Our Department has a crop of very dedicated and accommodating academic and non-academic staff who regard themselves as being loco parentis to our students. Courses in the Department are symmetrically structured to expose students to core areas in both language and literature, but permits students to opt for their bias when writing their final projects respectively. Our graduates are trained to be versatile, and so capable of veering into different areas of life such as the mass media, education, administration, linguistic research, etc.
